Privacy-sensitive data or personal data are processed via our web shop. We attach great importance to the careful handling of personal data. Personal data are therefore carefully processed and protected by us. 

TC-MotoWear is responsible for the data processing. In this privacy statement, we explain which personal data we collect, use and for what purpose. We hope that you will read this declaration carefully. If questions arise, you can of course contact us (info@tc-motowear.com).

1. Conditions for processing personal data

When processing personal data, we comply with the requirements set by privacy legislation. Specifically for you, this means that we consider the following points important and comply with them:

  • we clearly state the purposes for which we process personal data. You can read this in more detail later in this privacy statement;

  • we limit the collection of personal data to only those data that are necessary for legitimate purposes;

  • we ask for explicit permission to process your personal data in cases where special permission is required;

  • we take appropriate security measures to protect your personal data at all times and require the same from parties processing personal data on our behalf, where necessary this is laid down in so-called separate ‘processor agreements’;

  • we make it possible for you to access, correct or delete your personal data at any time.

2. Use of personal data

When using our online shop, we obtain certain data about you. This may include personal data. We store and use only the personal data provided directly by you, in the context of the service requested by you, for example when you checkout an order.


We use the following data for the purposes set out in this privacy statement:

  • Email address

  • Name and address details

  • Telephone number

  • Billing address

  • Email address

  • Payment details

2.1 Registering

Certain areas of our online shop allow you to register in order to use functionality. After registration, we save your personal data. We save this data so that you can use our services without having to provide data again, and we may also use it to contact you within the framework of the execution of the agreement, such as the agreed obligation to deliver the products from your order or to answer your questions.

We will not provide the data for registration and execution of the agreement to third parties, unless this is necessary within the framework of the execution of the agreement you conclude with us or if this is required by law. In case of suspected fraud or abuse of our web shop, we may be asked to hand over personal data to the competent authorities.

2.2 Order processing

When you place an order with us, we use your personal data to process it. If necessary for proper processing, we may also provide your personal data to third parties. We will only do so with parties with whom we have concluded a processing agreement. You may therefore trust that these parties will also handle your personal data as desired. You can read more about this in this privacy statement.

In addition to the data for an account, we ask for the following data:

  • Street name

  • House number

  • Postal code

  • City

  • Phone number

Orders are further stored with the following data

  • Date and time of order

  • Order number

  • Order number

  • Invoice number

  • Total amounts

  • Delivery information

  • Delivery costs

  • Payment information

  • IP address

2.3 Use of contact form and newsletter

Through our web shop, we offer the possibility to ask questions by means of a contact form, which also asks for data to be entered so that we can process your query more easily. You choose which data you provide in the process. The data you send us will be deleted by default within 30 days and otherwise kept as long as the content of your message suggests this is necessary for a full response and handling.

When sending messages via the webshop, we use the following data:

  • Name

  • E-mail address

We also offer a newsletter to inform interested parties about our products and/or services. Each newsletter contains a link with which you can easily unsubscribe. Your e-mail address is automatically added to the database of our e-mail software from where, under a processing agreement, we ensure the safe handling of your personal data.

2.4 Data stored and accessible via your account dashboard

With our portal, you can access a management environment where you can set up, specify, change and, in theory, even anonymise items such as address data yourself.

The following data are stored in your account and can also be viewed by you.

  • Orders, including the data required for processing

  • Invoices, including the data required for processing

3. Advertising

In addition to the information on our website, we may also inform you of our new products and services: by e-mail, via social media, push notifications, telephone or other means of communication. Fortunately: this only happens when you have given explicit permission to do so; this permission can also be revoked at any time.

4. Publish

When using our online shop, no data are published by default. If this happens, you choose which information you publish; think, for example, about liking or following our social media channels. 

5. Disclosure to third parties

We may engage its group companies and other parties when processing your data. Insofar as those other parties process data on behalf of TC-MotoWear's services, they do so as processors and we have entered into an agreement with those parties. Insofar as those other parties determine the purposes and means of processing data themselves, they do so as responsible parties. This also means that they must have a basis for processing your data. We are not responsible for the processing of your data by those parties. This privacy statement does not apply to them.

6. Cookies

Our online shop uses cookies. When you visit our web shop for the first time, a notice will be shown explaining why and for what purpose we use these cookies. We use so-called functional and non-functional cookies, for the use of non-functional cookies we always ask your permission; if you do not give this permission, we will not use them. 

Functional cookies can also be switched off in your browser. Please note, however, that our website may then no longer work optimally.

7. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to track how visitors use our online shop. We have entered into a processing agreement with Google to agree on how to handle our data. Furthermore, we have not allowed Google to use the Analytics information obtained for other Google services. Finally, all IP addresses of traffic measured by us are anonymised.

8. Security

We take careful security measures to limit misuse of and unauthorised access to personal data. These measures are part of our processes and are reviewed periodically.

9. Retention periods

The personal data described above will be kept for as long as necessary to process your orders, including warranty. After that, your data will be kept for up to one year for the statistical purposes described. The data will then be deleted, unless there is a legal obligation that requires longer retention (such as the seven-year tax retention obligation for payment data).

10. Third-party websites

In our shop you will also find links to other parties' websites or references to us. Although we select and monitor these links with care, we are not responsible for processing your data via these websites. This privacy statement does not apply to them.

11. Changes to this privacy statement

We reserve the right to make changes to this privacy statement. 

12. Accessing and changing your data

After logging in to your account within our webshop, you have access to the data known to us. You can submit a request to change or delete data. For questions about our privacy policy, please contact us at any time using the details below.

13. Personal Data Authority

We will be happy to help you if you have any questions about the processing of your personal data. Under privacy legislation, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Authority about our processing of your personal data.
